European Commission / IEA event on “Playing my part: How to save money, reduce reliance on Russian energy, support Ukraine and help the planet”

The European Commission and the International Energy Agency (IEA) will co-host an event on the 21st April 2022, from 11.00 to 12.00 CET, to raise public awareness about the benefits of energy savings and energy efficiency measures.

This event will be publicly accessible through a livestream session on DG Energy’s YouTube channel.

The European Commission Director-General for Energy Ms Ditte Juul Jørgensen and IEA Executive Director Mr Fatih Birol will host the roundtable discussion.

Mr Claude Turmes, Minister for Energy and Spatial Planning of Luxembourg, Mr Patrick Graichen, State Secretary of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, Mr Mark Watts, Executive Director of C40 Cities, Ms Monique Goyens, Director General of BEUC, the European Consumer Organisation, and Ms Sharan Burrow, General Secretary of the International Trade Union Confederation, will participate in the livestreamed event.
